Lumoscribe is a Photonics-based company specializing in developing sensors and lasers. Specifically, Lumoscribe uses the technology of Optical Fibers, to produce high-quality sensors, lasers, and complete optical sensing solutions for various applications.
As an SME company, whose entire business model is based on advanced technology, Lumoscribe defines itself as a deep-tech company; a company that generates, directs, and manipulates light to develop and commercialize high-tech engineering innovations and applicable scientific advances.
Furthermore, through its own Photonics Research Center where new technologies are developed and applied, Lumoscribe supports organizations to prototype and develop their own solutions.

We market our highly innovative optical sensing solutions applicable for a variety of industry sectors (Health/Medical, Agriculture, Aerospace, Robotics, and many more).
We offer R&D services for national and international projects where our team collaborates with Universities and Research Centers to convert great ideas into great products.
We offer consulting services in terms of your photonics-based ideas in order to add commercial value.
Our History
Lumoscribe was founded in 2018 by Dr. Antreas Theodosiou following his vision to create a world-leading innovation Photonics company. Ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in 2021 by Stanford University, USA, Dr Theodosiou realized that there was a need to apply hi-tech research findings to real-life everyday applications.
Upon the company’s establishment, Dr Theodosiou managed to secure the first research funding which initiated its slow but steady growth. In 2021, Lumoscribe produced and marketed its first tech products, and in 2022 the company moved to its first official/lab premises in Geroskipou, Pafos.
2023 is an important milestone for the company since it is expanding into new markets with its own Mid-IR Fiber Lasers at its own production facilities. Furthermore, realizing the need to create a strategy for how to penetrate local and international markets, Lumoscribe has decided to invest in manpower at both partnership and employee levels aiming at maintaining sustainable growth that will allow the company to reach its short- and long-term goals.

The Fiber Optic Association
The FOA is an international non-profit educational association that is chartered to promote professionalism in fiber optics through education, certification and standards. FOA is also an internationally recognized certifying body.
Cyprus Association of Research and Innovation Enterprises
Founded in 2010, CARIE is a non-profit association that promotes Industrial Research and Innovation in Cyprus and the interests of Cypriot Innovative technology companies. The founding objectives are:
- Safeguarding and promotion of research and innovation enterprises common interests, along legal, financial, social and ethical perspectives.
- Cooperation with governmental organisations responsible for the design of the Research and Innovation National Strategy and its promotion to enterprises in favor of increasing their competitiveness.
- Cooperation with Cyprus Government and other public and non-governmental organisations, aiming at the dissemination, development and promotion of scientific and technological research and innovation.
